Post 27 - Textures

After taking snapshots of my UV maps in maya, I imported them into photoshop to use as a guide for making a texture map.  



I used high definition images from 3d.sk and stiched them together to creat a texture map..  very long and painstaking buisness..



This is my almost finished texture map for the body, although the seems are currently much to obvious on the back and inner leg


Post 26 - On to UV mapping





Using maya's UV snapshot tool along side Headus UVmapper, I have stiched together 3 Uv maps for the Head, Body and hands and feet, trying to have as little an inconspicious seems as possible.  The seems currently go down the back up the inside legs and inside of the arms.  Due to where I placed my seems I could not stich the whole of the hands and feet UV maps onto the body.  

Post 25 - Defining the face

Ive added more topology to the eye area to define the eyelid and I have also raised the bridge of the nose, as I was told it was too low. 

Also added edgeloops to the lips so the edges stay defined when smoothed



Post 24 - Toenails


Created toenails in the same fashion as the finger nails

Slightly retouched the stomach so that the smoothed image is more defined

Post 22 - Defining the arm

  
Ive made the arm more blocky to so that when smoothed, the figure will have defined muscles

Chaned the edge flow on the arm to better replicate the position the arm is in.

 The elbow and tricep is now much better defined

Post 21 - Refining the hand and wrist

 
Ive added much more resolution on the hands to refine the knuckles, joints and nails.  I have seen that other models have used seperate meshes for the nails, but I have decided to just uss the same mesh.

Extra edge loops close together will help refine the edges of the nail when smoothed

I have also added an edge loop to the wrist to define the wrist bone

Post 20 - Bocking out the feet


   I have tried to replicate the tendons from each toe but i may come back later to refine this more.  Also need nails..

Post 19 - Belly button and Nipple

I have now added belly button and nipple topology to my model.



Slightly altered the stomach topology once the belly button was complete
